Please, not another one

One of my message board friends is posting about a medical problem she's having right now. She's undergoing tests because her hands keep tingling.

If that sounds only vaguely familiar, check here. It's all too damn familiar to me, and as I read her post about the EMG, all I could think was, "Please don't let another friend have this shitty disease."

Yep - someone on the message board has the same issue. I'm afraid to ask her if she's ever had this weird thing called optic neuritis.

Has it really been that long since you were diagnosed?

Seems like only yesterday that we laughed so hard (me trying really really hard not to but unable NOT to laugh because you wouldn't stop) as you stumbled and fell repeatedly in my yard.

Maybe it will turn out to be carpal tunnel. One can only hope.

I know what you mean about being afraid, Your Maj--I did PM my friend and ask her if they checked for diabetes, and all she knew was that the doc had bloodwork done.

Thanks, Rob. *hugs back*

Zayrina, unfortunately, I can't blame that fall on MS, as it was two years before my diagnosis. I do remember you laughing and yelling at me to stop laughing so you could stop. In fact, I'm giggling right now, thinking about it.

Of course, while the MS may not have been at fault, the fact that your dogs were enthusiastic hole-diggers may have had SOMETHING to do with my fall. ;-)

Well I am the nurse and I say it was the MS. That is my story and I am sticking to it.
