No more messing around with this "socializing" stuff. I was up at 6:30, back from the grocery store by 8:45, and out grubbing in my garden while it rained.
I planted two baby Korean lilacs and an iris, made a space at the foot of the trellises in front of the compost heap, brought my tray full of starter seeds outside, and weeded,added topsoil and then mulched the round flowerbed in the front yard. Then I picked up sticks & branches, cleaned out the driveway drain so it could do its job, and came inside.
After that, I took a bath and had a nap, and now I'm ready to revel in a boring Saturday night.

Isn't it wonderful? No, really. It is.
I bought $20 worth of seeds at Wal-Mart today - easy stuff, supposedly. We shall see.
Becs, are you planning to throw them right in the ground or start them inside first? If the latter, I totally recommend the little peat pots. I think mine were 6 for $1, and my morning glory seeds are ZOOMING upward in them.

Jammies, unlike life with dogs, life with cats mean that nothing is safe. I love those little peat pots but I know the cats would either use them for a toy or personal hygiene, so right into the ground those seeds are going.
Does anyone know how to get really old gasoline out of a lawnmower? Things are getting desperate...
Becs, John says that usually there is a hode underneath of it you can use to drain it out. Lacking that, or not knowing where that is, your other option is to siphon.

Becs, if there isn't a plug on the bottom of the tank, hit your local hardware store for a siphon kit.
HOSE, underneath the air cleaner, wherever that is...and he now is clarifying saying it is under the gas tank not under the lawnmower as I had interpreted it.
I r not mechanical.
