WTF?!?

Saw this on TV over Christmas, they repeated it twice. Good to see Terry Pratchett's books get this kind of TV treatment, a lot better than the animated adaptations of his novels. Discworld is a fascinating place for sure, a bit like if Lord Of The Rings had been written by Douglas Adams in collaboration with Monty Python. And yes, a DVD would be nice.

i'll second what Jay said. I'm not sure i want to tell you what it looks like, but it definately doesn't look like anything the jammies i know would want to see.

So: WTF?

Jay, Mike, it's a television adaptation of one of Terry Pratchett's novels, "Hogfather." It is absolutley something I am dying to see.

Brendan, you lucky thing--did the polyglot monkeys watch with you?

Well, the nephews and nieces did, and they pronounced it a good thing. (15-year old niece is already a bit of a Pratchett fan.)

No sign of a dvd release for it yet... hope that happens.

The library where I work has all of Pratchett's books (I've only read about three)... unfortunately they get stolen quite frequently.

People who steal books from libraries should be turned over to my dogs as squeaky toys.

You should read whatever's left--I'm a huge Pratchett fan for many reasons.
